On my iPod:
Nine Weird Al Yankovic albums
Enya
Yes
Queen
Steve Tyler's cover of Oscar the Grouch's "I Love Trash" ( with Elmo singing backup )
Pink Floyd
Eurythmics
Blue Man Group
DJ Tiesto
Oingo Boingo

etc. etc. ...

...I don't think I'll be putting it on shuffle anytime soon.

I also have large favorite lists on Grooveshark and YouTube full of LMFAO, Vocaloid, and the Moody Blues, as well as other lists dedicated to exotic instruments such as tongue drums. You really shouldn't worry so hard about impressing other people with your musical tastes. You should be more concerned with enjoying the music you happen to like, irrespective of where it comes from.

Impress? No.
Most people I know who see my playlists either ask me if I'm somewhat deaf or somewhat loony.
I've never ever met anyone who was impressed by this stuff.

Lol, indeed.

I thought the list was to show an example of the random, showing that OP is not alone in their varied tastes. Why would random lists meant to impress? How is their list exotic in any way?

Thank you.
I was trying to tell OP that I knew where they were coming from musically and not to worry so much.

Ahah, I've got Vivaldi, Children of Bodom, Blood for Blood, Enya, S Club 7, Frank Sinatra, etc. etc. In fact, pretty much every genre you can imagine (not a lot of rap, though I love Sage Francis, and not a lot of country, though there are some kind of political/underground country bands like Pine Box Boys).

My favourite thing ever is putting it on shuffle. Nothing quite like hearing Dean Martin followed by Enslaved. =)
