Thirding this...

And even if you write for a big fandom, your stuff may not get many recs. I've been in a couple of big fandoms for over 15 years now (and I run a heavily trafficked fan fiction archive) and most of my stuff rarely gets recced, even though a lot of people claim to love it... I write in a certain format and that isn't to everyone's tastes, plus, I do weird pairings.

You've got a supportive beta... they are worth their weight in gold.
