You are me 8 years ago, anon.
I've also been through a time in my life when I had to find out that most of my "friends" were backstabbing assholes.
I know it sounds cheesy, but I'm sure everybody will eventually find people to click with. If I can find true friends and suddenly be popular and well-liked, then everybody can. It often just depends on chance, you just need to meet the right people and be in the right place.
