Re: Kind of a weird question
The positive: I had little post-surgical pain, mainly really stiff and achy for a couple of weeks. It saved me from years-long and deep psychological distress. I look normal with a shirt on, and I'm generally happy with it.
The negative: The scarring is obvious; I have underarm breast tissue left over, so I basically have weird fat rolls that won't go away. One of my nipples healed badly and looks different than the other. I have lost or disrupted sensation in both nipples and in large parts of my chest skin.
To sum up: I'm glad I had it done. The unsatisfying cosmetic results and lost sensation are immaterial compared to the positive psychological and physical results.
