How're you all enjoying the summer? Hot enough for you?

Let me tell you about my day!

Got up at 10am, went to the beach. Had a breakfast consisting of ice cream and a can of pop.

Chilled out on the sand for a couple of hours, watching the boats on the ocean coming and going, saw lots of pretty girls wearing not very much, and had another ice cream.

Lunchtime roles up and I have a packet of fish and chips, then have a wander down to the fair. 'Nother ice cream on the way. Spend the last few coppers I have on a couple of rides then I wander back to the beach.

Decide to go for a swim. Spend maybe an hour in the sea then come back, and have a bit of a nap on the beach.

Wake up devastatingly sun burned.

Got home about 7pm and just chilled out in the garden with a book until it got dark.

Life, my friends, can be very good sometimes.

They probably didn't tell you because the VA is, mostly, pretty badly run so there's no guarantee the people you were talking to at that time even knew that.

It's been pretty cold and I've been working all the time and things are mostly pretty blah.

Actually, the past couple days have been cooler than normal [bear in mind 'Cooler than normal' in this case means 95F].

Otherwise...Not so much. A lot of not so nice stuff has happened, and I've mostly been dealing with that, and a bit of burnout, though I'm hoping the next week or two things will start getting better.

I watched some stuff this morning and stupidly made cookies before my friend came over. We went to a Japanese grocery and I found the rice flour I was looking for, and ended up buying her some candy and us mochi ice cream. We weren't going back anytime soon so we had to eat all of the mochi ice cream, which was a bad idea.
We went to a park and talked, then went to a bookstore where I got a big Captain Kirk poster.

Other than the workshops I did last week, I haven't gotten out much this summer. Next month, though, I'm going to Pittsburgh, Chicago, and maybe an amusement park.
And yes, it's been hot as balls outside, so I'm fairly ok with not leaving the house.

I'm in Norway so it was 22C today, which is basically normal summer temperatures, over 30C and we go a bit crazy, also have constant "heat wave" information on radio/TV.

I have been traveling for most of it and also will for the rest of it, went to Riga first where it was way too hot for me, then I got back home, went up north to my foster parents, went back home, then to my mothers house in Sweden where it was hot but not the "OMG! I am not used to temperatures above 25C get me out of here" hot, I even went swimming twice!

I finally got back home today, and will be leaving back north (to awful weather) first for a wedding, then further north to my grandparents, then back south a bit to my fathers house and probably to my aunts, before going further south to my friends family's house, also to meet up with a couple of other friends, before getting back home about the 20th of August for the start of the semester, I might also do another trip to Sweden before that, and possibly meet up with one of my exes in Oslo.

...why yes I did not get a Summer job this year, how did you guess? I am also quite broke, but going home and food and travel expenses will be paid for by whomever I am at...

Oh gosh, I'm so jealous that you got to go to the beach. It's been a couple years since I've been to the beach.

Summer's been...OK. I saw some good movies, spent some fun times with my best friend and siblings, but the heat can be a bit difficult to put up with at times. I request for more rain!

Also, work sucks. We're in the middle of arguments about vacation days we'll be getting off around Christmas time. I think the higher ups want an extended holiday so they requested for December 23 off instead of December 31. It wouldn't be a big issue except those of us who work graveyard will have to be at work on New Year's Ever/Day...and we won't get double pay for working on a holiday. The HR rep said this is all for financial reasons but again I get the feeling a couple people want an extra long Christmas break so they went for December 23 instead of December 31. Whatever, though. Fuck them.

I had a day that was a lot like yours recently. Only with less ice cream and more sushi. I've got plans to go back to the beach at least one more time before I move.

My day was spent looking at the websites of apartment complexes.

I LOVE SUMMER. People complain about the heat but I don't et enough of it on my edge of the continent :P Granted I've worked most of the summer so far save for a week trip last month, but THATS OKAY BECAUSE I CAN SAVE MONEY AND PAY BILLS OFF :DDD Plus there's plenty of summer left and (hopefully) a trip to PAX Prime. :)

I am in Oklahoma. It has just benlen hot, hot, hot. On the bright side I am driving to SC at the end of the month to see my family I have not visited in 3 years.

So far, I've either been too sick or too injured to go to the beach even once this summer. The beach is one of NW Florida's few charms, too. Hopefully I'll feel well enough to go at least once next week, 'cause I've been dying for an ice-cold bushwacker.

Started a job at Target wooooooo; I'm basically working there until I can find a more permanent solution. Today was my first day of training and I swear I'm becoming the Kristen Wiig Target lady already. I was stocking stuff and was like "oh that's CUTE I should come buy this later." And realized what was happening to me.

But other than that it's been nice. :)

i'm done school so i worked. i'm only part time and don't start till noon though so i got to sleep in at least. it's been really hot and i would go swimming in the lake but it's shadfly season so the water's been kind of gross

Look up interesting websites.

Wait until 7:30-ish to break fast.

Wake up at 5:00-ish to eat before Subuh prayers.

Rinse and repeat, with the occasional outing.

So far, so good. :)

It's been good so far, really hot the past week so naturally everyone in the UK is like a dying fly(while I'm okay for the most part and confusing everyone else I know). I'm off to visit some old friends for the weekend and have a gaming party+BBQ, so that should be good. :)

It was body-temperature outside today, plus humidity. The AC in my car doesn't work, and I've had to drive both my mother and my boyfriend to and from work because the starter in my boyfriend's car crapped out on Tuesday. Blar.

It had FINALLY gotten warm here in the Great White North. Now its cooling down, and it rained yesterday. WHY CANADA!

Ahem. I mostly spend my days applying for jobs, frankly. I try to mix it up by going to different coffee shops and libraries. I wish there was one right next to a beach so I could piggy back on their internet while still sitting on the sand grass.

They're doing a whole bunch of theatre in parks in town, in these last couple months, so it's been really fun to go to the areas around there and see everyone getting excited for the plays or musicals. ^^
