I feel bad for Flora. After the first game, I felt like the writers really wanted to do more with her, but just could not figure out a good way. I mean, they tried to get her to solve puzzles as well, but I just felt she was never truly as defined as the other cast members and was kind of just...there. The second game was especially problematic with this one because she tags along with Layton and Luke, only to get stuck behind fairly early on.

Emmy on the other hand I love. She's got a vivid personality and kickass martial arts without overdoing or outshining other characters. She's just as likely to mess up as she is likely to contribute and I really enjoyed her in both "Last Specter" and "Miracle Mask." I thought she was a pretty well-defined character.
