that part of the book was the creepiest thing I ever read. I actually had to put down the book for a while because I was disturbed. sometimes I like to think that snape had a hairbrush full of lily's hair that he would use for polyjuice to give to prostitutes and then he would just hire them so he could hug them and sob like a pitiful creep for the whole night

This got oddly dark. I meant to go for cracky. Hope it’s okay.


She downed the potion in one gulp, her body change instantly. Red hair grew where blonde once was, blue eyes turning into green. Snape let out a retched sob, his black eyes pooling with tears long lost to him.

"Lily," he shuttered out, placing a bony potion stained hand on her white skin. Delicate hands sifted through his greasy hair, as Lily smiled down at him.

"Why did you leave me?" Snape asked, choking back a sob. "Why did you pick Potter?"

His voice sounded thin and reedy, whiny and full of anger. "Why did you betray me?"

Anguish filled Snape, tinged with hurt that never abated even after Lily's death. He could feel the hatred coil inside of him, twisted with the memory of finding her dead; the stupid Potter-child crying in his crib.

Her hands massaged his scalp, trying to sooth him. Lily cooing like a mother to a child.

He tried to concentrate on Lily's ministrations to his head, but the twisted feelings in his mind only grew, festering as he sobbed.

Soft white hands curved around Snape's chin, titling his head up. Lily dragged her thumb beneath his eye, brushing away his tears. Snape stifled another sob, biting his tongue before he crushed their lips together.

He invaded her mouth, devouring her as she made a muffled noise in the back of her throat; her tongue slack in her mouth. Snape broke apart panting, Lily's eyes wide.

She drew her hand across her mouth, saliva clinging to her palm. "I charge extra for kisses," she said.

Snape's lips curled into a snarl, his free hand shooting out from his side. His bony fingers wrapped around her neck, finger nails biting into her skin.

"I do not pay you for breaking character."

The woman's hands flew to her neck as she nodded, fear rising. Lily's eyes wide and pleading.

"Do not let this happen again," Snape spit out, his grip loosening.

Lily nodded, her green eyes looking anywhere but at him. She nursed her neck, holding it in her hands. Bile rose up in Snape's mouth, rage turning into disgust. Disgust morphing into despair.

His body rocked forward, pushing out another sob, more broken than the rest.

Snape flung himself at Lily, grabbing on to her. His black robes engulfing her.

"I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry." He whispered, tears running down his face.

Lily's body was still underneath him as sobs wracked him. As he repeated his mantra of forgiveness.

Slowly, she moved, her fingers wrapping themselves back into his hair. She rocked with him, holding him, his tears sinking into her shirt.

They stayed like that for a long time, until the cleaning wizard came and knocked at the door. Snape still crying and asking for forgiveness.

love and obsession aren't mutually exclusive. if a shithead falls in love, it isn't going to magically redeem them. they'll just be a shithead who has warm fuzzy feelings but no healthy way to express them.
