I disagree. I think it's the Snape fen that missed the point of the chapter. I can't see anything in the secret that is at all untrue. He really is like that. *shrug* It's not a matter of whether he's sympathetic or not. I'm not saying he isn't. He's not. He's not a hero. Brave\=\Hero.

OMG you did it too!?? AWESOME XD Yeah, I totally did; I got the car about 2 months ago, and it's a dark blue RAV4. It just screamed Kamina to me (actually the color's more Simon, but that doesn't really work as a car name). If I could I'd make the brake lights pointy like Kamina's sunglasses. Except, I'm sure that would be a horrible traffic hazard.

While I haven't gone personally to an official art school as of yet, it's usually common sense that people are shaped differently from others, whether it be facial, body, or the like. I believe in terms of Eroge, this type of person in style is an idealized beauty. My opinion stands with bishounen look a likes as well, there isn't just one type of attractive for everyone you know?

#7 - IAWTC. I know -- mostly from reading comments here in response to other secrets -- that people are upset because there's a whole wave of new people writing fic based on their knowledge from only the movie and not the game, or just from internet research. I get that, I do. What I don't get is -- if that's the problem, if that's what's bothering people so bad, why can't people just avoid the fic by authors that they know haven't played the game? Stick to the authors you know are good and all that. Heck, that's what I do in any fandom, really.

That's just my two cents though... I'm a big believer in that if you avoid what you know bothers you, you'll be a lot happier and so will everyone else. I learned that when I first got onto the internet when I was 13. :/

SO. MUCH. LOVE.
Holy crap, it has been forever since I saw it but I loved that movie so much! I saw it on the Sci-Fi Channel too, and then I rented it from the video store (on VHS back in the day) and make my own copy. I should find it and watch it again, except I'm sure it got taped over by something else :(
Hahaha I even found the live-action Japanese movie and watched that, even though it was dubbed and cheesy.

Pretty much, yeah. He was brave, I don't think the OP is trying to say otherwise. But he WAS jealous, vengeful, even sadistic. If Voldy had decided that the child in question was Neville Longbottom, Snape would have merrily continued on his way not caring that he condemned a family including an innocent infant boy to death (and he passed on the secret knowing this, as well). As the OP says, "oh hey, I'm totally cool with the murder of innocent kids, but don't touch the hottie"

Absolutely. It wasn't the child Snape was concerned about, but Lily. If it had been Neville he may very well still be a Death Eater. I think it's great that he loved Lily and all, but his love couldn't extend to care about anything but her- the things that are important to her not being worth it. And in a sense, he refused to change until he lost her. Despite the fact that their friendship ended because he couldn't do that years before.
