To all the people getting on me, I suggest you look up "Woman Is the Nigger of the World" a phrase coined by Yoko Ono before John Lennon appropriated it.

Ono was a true outspoken feminist before it was popular. She makes a valid point about the treatment of women in our world. I quoted that point. What is you're problem?

Racism =/= what women go through.

Also, quoting someone whose from a country that's known to have some even worse issues concerning racism than the west is a pretty weak point.

I hate this fucking hierarchy that social justice types have established that racism >>> feminism in terms of importance. They're both important issues, and for lots of people they overlap. It's not a competition.

even from a feminist perspective, if you think that the point about the treatment of women in our world is valid, that still doesn't make the word female equivalent to the word nigger

because it isn't

it clearly, objectively, absolutely is not equivalent. one of those is a term of hate, a bigoted and hateful expression used only to dehumanize and destroy other people on the basis of their skin color. the other is not.

Actually, if you look at what happened once she married John, he was the controlling, manipulative, and abusive one. [Hell, even admitted in an interview that he hit women.]

He was no picnic, himself. But neither was she. She's the reason why her son and stepson are estranged from each other. Even to this day, she's trying to make a buck off Lennon's corpse while giving nothing to his son, Julian. (She stole almost his entire inheritance.)

Lennon was a louse of a man who people like to view through rose colored glasses because he was a pop star who knew how to work the media. (Like the naked interview from bed. I admit, that was genius.) And Yoko Ono was his perfect match because their personalities were almost identical.

I do feel sorry for their kids. They had awful awful Mommy Dearest/Daddy Dearest parents.

"Female" is not a word which is taboo in any context. It is a perfectly good biology term which has unfortunate implications when removed from its natural habitat.

I'm a woman who is also a "nigger", and that phrase ignores the reality of people like me so blatantly that it's practically from the fourth dimension. Fuck them, and fuck you.
