Not OP, but I don't need people to like my kinks. I need people not to be aggressive, bullying assholes who harass other people for what they like, send them hateful messages, tell them to go kill themselves for what they ship etc. Not even if those kinks are "creepy as fuck".

Guess what I do when I see something I think is creepy and disgusting? I ignore it. I don't treat complete strangers like shit because they like something I don't like.

Saying "that kink is creepy" isn't bullying, but just as you say, sending people hateful messages, creating call-out blogs so you can repeatedly draw others' attention to someone and mock them, all of that is asshole behavior.

while i think people shouldn't be told "go kill yourself, freak" over their kinks (especially since they're not "acting" on this sort of thing, just enjoying it in fandom), I also think people shouldn't expect everyone to never be upset/squicked/grossed out/freaked out by the really fucked up bullshit... kinks are kinks BECAUSE they're not the norm, BECAUSE they're not for everyone. And it's okay that people have (frequently very fucking legitimate) problems with these kinks. Sorry, but that's life. Not everyone HAS to find your shit okay.

I don't want everyone to approve it, you fuckwit. I don't even want to be loud about it, just not incredibly quiet and careful to hide that I have kinks at all. I just don't want people drawing prejudiced, harmful, IRL consequence conclusions about my personality and real life behaviour. This is why I've been incredibly closeted and uptight and ashamed since I was 6. Sexual orientation discovery was secondary to the fact that I am 100% kinky.

It's not about approval, as most who ship problematic ships are completely aware that they're fucked up and not everyone's cup of tea. But when you actively bash/shame/scare these shippers (who are literally hurting no one and are simply enjoying the things they like) out of your fandom because of a kink/ship you don't like, then you're an asshole, plain and simple. The GOT fandom in particular seems to do this quite often and it's pretty disappointing.
