Honestly, I feel that way as well. I was always one of those people that thought Tumblr was killing fandom but then I got into it and I really like it and feel more involved on there.

Tumblr actually manages online conventions. It's amazing.

Yeah, once you figure it out, Tumblr is awesome. We actually pulled off VirtualComiCon (#virtualcc) during SDCC with cosplay and webcast panels and everything. I tried to be involved in Bittercon a couple of times on LJ but it never went anywhere as far as they do on Tumblr.

This weekend is Jeagercon! The first Pacific Rim convention. (#jeagercon of course :D )

And like I mentioned in the Pacific Rim thread above, I'm doing a song for it. Details and how to contribute if you want and the first 20 seconds (four layers of percussion and an electric irish bouzouki), as of last night around 1am here.
