This thread makes me sad. When I first read your secret I was thinking that it should be silly for you to think you can't simply express a negative opinion about this movie. Thanks for proving me wrong F!S. Thanks for proving me wrong.

I liked the movie but I can completely understand why others wouldn't.

So just do your thing, OP, and blacklist it on tumblr and stuff. Sorry Pacific Rim fandom is full of babies.

The negative responses to the secret read as very tongue-in-cheek to me rather than as serious disapproval.

But, then, I may just be in the sort of mindset where everything reads that way (this is actually a mistake I make sometimes...), so I don't know.

You don't necessarily need to take it back, I didn't see it as tongue-in-cheek at all, especially from the general response this film has had. I've never seen it myself, but I've seen the online reactions, and generally... it wouldn't surprise me if most people here take it very seriously.
