I finally got started on altering a dress I got, by taking the waist-ties out and seam-ripping them apart. Now I have to figure out measurements and sew it back together again!
My sister also said I should replace the cheap ribbon for the corset lacing, and if I do that, I should look into replacing the other ribbon sewn with the dress.

Ooooh. Do you make dresses or just alter them? Either way that sounds like a great asset. Are you going to post some pics when you get done?

Just altering this one (though I'm hoping to start learning sewing for cosplay) I don't know when I'll be finishing it but here I shared pics of it right now so I'll probably make a finished tumblr post with pics then.
