...THAT YOU FINALLY DID! A couple weeks ago I asked everyone about the games/books/movies/tv shows/chores they have been putting off forever. Well, I want some of the recent things you have been putting off that you finally got around to doing.

I have been avoiding watching Breaking Bad forever. But my sister loves it and the series finale premiere is on her birthday. Sooo, I am trying to marathon it in an effort to get it in before the 11th. I don't know if I will make it, but I am going to try.

So what are some things you have accomplished F!S?

I wrote a fanfic! I'd been thinking about it for a while but was just too lazy to actually do it. Then someone I know decided to have a fanfic contest out of the blue, and I was like, "a deadline? Now THAT, I understand."

I envy people who can write and draw fanstuff! I tried writing a fanfic once...it was awful. I am also a horrible procrastinator. So congrats on your fanfic!

I started Cowboy Bebop.

Mind that was about a month ago and I'm still only on episode 14. I just gave up on FMA:B entirely. But at least I Tried.

I think Cowboy Bebop is one of the best animes (esp for beginners) because it has a set number of characters and episodes. Plus great music.

I finally opened my sewing machine and am learning how to use it, thanks to my Grandmom! :)

It is always good to have knowledge of manual things like that. If the zombie apocalypse occurs you will considered more useful because of it!

I finally got started on altering a dress I got, by taking the waist-ties out and seam-ripping them apart. Now I have to figure out measurements and sew it back together again!
My sister also said I should replace the cheap ribbon for the corset lacing, and if I do that, I should look into replacing the other ribbon sewn with the dress.

Ooooh. Do you make dresses or just alter them? Either way that sounds like a great asset. Are you going to post some pics when you get done?

REDLIIIINE. I'd been vaguely interested in watching it after seeing a pair of really good AMVs for the series, but I have absolutely no interest in car racing so I put it off. The other day, though, I noticed it was up legally on Youtube and sort of went eh, why not?

It was so cool. The thing is that it's not so much about car racing as the racing is an excuse to get the maximum visual awesome into your brain in the shortest possible amount of time. A car turns into a mecha and magically tickles a robo-pterodactyl to death! One racer fuses with his car and then eats antimatter to make himself go faster! The MC needs to take a shortcut, so he drives his car so fast it skips across the surface of a lake! A dude fuses with a giant eldritch salamander to duel a giant evil regenerating magma baby! An entire planet's army is sent out just for the sake of murdering the racers! This guy gets in too deep with the mafia, so another man kills the mafia boss with a gun that shoots screwdrivers to save him! One guy gets knocked out of his car, and to get back in he runs on foot as fast as the other racers in their cars (going at speeds of over 300 km/hr) to catch up to it!

It has a lovely soundtrack, and it was completely handrawn over a period of seven years. It's not particularly deep or meaningful, but I honestly could not care less because I felt like I'd injected liquid candy into my lizard brain after watching it. (And then I went and watched it again, haha.)

Writing fic! I finally just sat up and made myself do it, and now I've got five chapters for one story and six for the other, with about 3000 words in each chapter.

It's been less than two weeks. :0

I managed reorganize all my shirts. I... I have too many shirts. There were shirts from middle school in there. They still fit but I was not going to wear them. They were... immiture, at best, and I say this as someone completely willing to wear a Meet the Robinsons t-shirt.

Got two new holes in my ears today. I'd been wanting it but putting it off for like ten years and finally I bit the bullet and it was so quick, cheap, and painless that I wonder what I was waiting for, haha. Also I finally bought Skyrim for super-duper cheap. Epic time-wasting, here I come (the mods, oh, god, the mods)!

I've started to build up some level of fitness again, to the point that walking up a hill no longer knocks me dead.

I've had to really walk hard every day to sustain it, but I'm finally making progress.

I accomplished a lot today! In addition to some light housework, I sorted out my financial aid application for this next (and final, for me) school year, called all of the doctors I need to see in the next six weeks and rescheduled over half of my appointments to days that don't clash with other appointments/classes and remembered to organize all of the dates on my phone's calendar after each call. This is a big deal for me because I absolutely loathe talking on the phone for any reason, but I got it all done without having a single panic attack and I'm stupidly proud of that! Oh, and I gave in and made an appointment tomorrow to have my injured left hand seen to. It just hasn't healed a bit since day one and I finally had to accept that. Fingers crossed that they can do something for it that I'm not already doing!

Fandom-wise, I had been putting off reading Christopher Moore's Lamb because there were other books I wanted to read first, but last week, at my dad's insistence, I started on it. I'm now a little more than half-way through and loving it to death. Now, I'm a staunch atheist, but I would totally become a follower of Josh in a heartbeat if his portrayal in this book was at all true to life.

Also, after a brief absence I have once again started watching the episodes of Star Trek in order, and while I do this I alternate between playing Mario & Luigi Bowser's Inside Story (which I really suck at) and Harvest Moon: A New Beginning. And once I finish/get bored of those two, I'll play either LoZ:WW or that Adventure Time one. Got plenty of time to kill while I'm waiting for the semester to start, you see.

I finally went back to playing pokemon platinum. I've come close to beating it a couple times but never went ALL THE WAY and I'm putting serious effort into it now. unfortunately I don't think sinnoh rates highly for me because the creation myth focus is like, making pokemon weird. humans used to/do? eat pokemon but pokemon have always been subservient even though pokemon are gods who made the universe and gave humans emotions and shit???? weird.
