Re: Question for immigrants

People tend to be less open about their emotions in my home country; I've had to learn to have a more open social persona. I also felt like my old culture had less rigid gender expectations, which may be because it's a much less religious culture. Rent, public transport, and most other things are cheaper here and it's easier for me to earn a living, but I really, really miss universal healthcare.

It's not really possible for me to go live back home at present, because most of my job skills are specific to a bureaucratic system of the country I live in. I never intended to stay here forever but I've got more detached from my home culture over the years, simply because it moves on without you, you know?
