To each their own, I suppose. He looks relatively normal to me, but I'm guessing that for many viewers his hotness factor is primarily influenced by his personality and deeds. I know that my parents think he's the coolest character on the show after Michonne. Hell, mom wanted (and received) a "Team Daryl" shirt for her birthday last week, and when she showed it to dad he smiled and nodded understandingly.

This is neither here nor there, but sometimes I wish I wasn't so freaked out by zombies and gore so that I could watch TWD with them and fully understand what it is about that show that brings out their inner fangirl and fanboy respectively. But since that ain't happenin', I'll just be content with watching them squee over it like the senior citizen geeks that they are and be proud that nerdiness runs in my family.
