You know half the reason I went to see it was so I'd be able to read crossover/fusion fics? I have subscriptions to two Hobbit/Pacific Rim fusions (Dwarves in Jaegers!).

But it's not a movie I'd get into the fandom of for it's own sake.

I liked it, it was in no way a wasted movie ticket for me, and I'll likely go buy the blu-ray, but there are other things that hold my interest far better.

Besides I also spent a good deal of the movie watching Chuck Hansen (the son of the Aussie team - played by Rob Kazinsky) and thinking "He's the guy who was almost a Dwarf!" and also "I'm glad he wasn't a Dwarf! Deano's a better Fili.".
