John Green got too popular. The internet will turn on anyone/anything for sometimes no reason if they become popular. Take Tom Hiddleston. I have never seen him do anything offensive...and that is the reason some people give to hate him. He is too nice.

I do like that John Green tries to actively fight the accusations against him in intelligent, respectful, and calm ways. That is certainly more than some of the people who attack him deserve.

the internet can't decide whether it likes Hiddleston or not. Or at least ONTD can't. One day they do, next day they don't. *sigh*

Wrong. White people are racist. And all men are sexist pigs. And all straight people are awful. And white, straight men are all literally reincarnations of Hitler.

And apparently everyone on ONTD seems too be black, or at least no one seems to be willing to admit to being white.

To be fair, ONTD was started by three black girls. I'm not saying that the community at large is black because of it, but it's not stopping it.

Yeah, I go there and I may or may not troll. But only 50% of the time. The other 50% I am pretty friendly. Depends on my mood and how much time I have.

I'm not ballsy enough to troll. Or, more precisely, I'm too lazy to deal with the fallout. It takes dedication to be a troll, far more than I have.

Oh, I am the laziest troll. And ONTD is one of the easiest places to troll. All you have to do is be like, "I don't think *insert white male actor* is that bad." BOOM 15 replies on how awful you are. And then you just keeps saying it.

Actually, there has been a recent switch on their position. He seems to be in favorable light for like 80% of people now. Cumberbatch is who they hate these days.

Really? Fascinating. I wonder how _p diverged so far from ONTD on that one; on _p atheists are all supposed to be privileged white dudes who deserve whatever nasty treatment they get for having the arrogance to open their mouths. It's gotten a little better recently, but ugh.

_p is the unwanted step-child of ontd anyway... they probably took up their position just to spite the mother community :p
the best thing about ontd is that it's basically the batshit craziness of SJWs on tumblr boiled down and concentrated in it's purest form-- except that they HATE tumblr and everything it stands for.

I've only been to the one about the Thor trailer recently, and that was mostly sunshine and kittens. I had fun. So it's not usually then I take it.

Yet they also want those straight, white men to fuck them and get bitter when those men date women they deem "basic" (because apparently physical attraction is a social justice issue).

I seem to be able to go for long periods of time away from ontd, but then I end up going back and peeking at posts and realizing why I don't frequent it like I used to.

I frequent it just to laugh at how ridiculous they are. Though occasionally it will hit a button and send me into a rage and I avoid it for a while.
