MTE. Maybe he's not into Star Trek; no harm, there, because sometimes something just doesn't hit your buttons. But ignoring OP's effort to do something sexy in her own way is just gross.

Like, listen, if I told my boyfriend to send me a sexy pic and he sent a pic of himself dressed up like one of those blue things from Avatar, I might secretly "LOL" at his dorkiness, but I would never tell him he's not sexy enough. Not like that. For one, I love my boyfriend and love our sex life, so even if he's painted blue and looks absurd, I'm probably going to enjoy looking at his body and enjoy the fun *he's* having. For another, I might tell him I *prefer* other things (because that's how good-sex-having communication works), but I wouldn't diss the efforts he DID make with some kind of "no, try harder" douchery. Ugggghhhhhh. Such a crappy thing to do.
