Genim is a cute name, but 1) the name on the folder wasn't Genim Stilinski, it was [something]ienim Stilinski; and 2) his name is supposed to be completely horrific and unpronounceable, based on Coach's fumbling attempts to make any kind of sense of it as well. Even ignoring Word of God that Genim is wrong and the name is Polish, Genim just isn't whacked-out and difficult enough to qualify based on the parameters established in canon.

Agreed, it doesn't seem unusual or difficult enough.

That said I've never seen Genim used for him. In the fic I've read people generally don't mention his first name at all unless it's to say how unusual or absurdly difficult to pronounce it is, but rarely is his actual name given. BUT I'm new to the fandom so I've probably just not run across it yet. I prefer Stiles because it's what the show uses and I doubt I'll never think of him as anything but Stiles.

Still, I hope at some point the show tells us his name, and that it's something that stumps people.

Uhhhhhhh, stuff that isn't Stiles/Lydia or Stiles/Cora? Sorry, just don't like those. I would love for some one-sided Peter/Stiles (with Stiles being the uninterested party) or Scott&Stiles buddy fic. Any decent Sheriff Stilinski/Melissa McCall stuff? Or Issac, Erica or Boyd centric fic? I would take Sterek too, though. (There's so much Sterek that I get lost just looking for it. And so much insanely OOC stuff...) Or hell, just excellent Stiles gen; I adore him.

Shit, I have the best followers ever even when I don't know who they are. That's so incredibly sweet of you! And I'm so glad that someone enjoys the Teen Wolf spam. I'm not on tumblr much these days, and when I am I'm making my flist regret following me re: Teen Wolf. Oops...

Gah, this must've taken you so long to put together, sorry for all the trouble! A couple would've been fine but you went above and beyond the call of duty. Thank you so much! I'm honestly surprised there's so much gen, and the fairytale stuff sounds right up my alley.

Also, since whatever-his-name-is said Boyd/Erica was supposed to be a thing it kills me to think of them. I really wanted them to go there and never thought it was going to happen, then...well. :( So unfair.

Thanks again! I'm currently going through the episodes a second time (that bit about Stiles writing an essay about circumcision for his economics class slays me, omg) and trying to read ALL the fanfic and look at tumblr now and then too and it's so overwhelming. This is a big help.

I've read fic that actually uses both Genim and 'oh it's so hard to pronounce' at the same time. I stopped reading it because I couldn't stop thinking they were all stupid because it's a short enough name even 5 year olds could repeat it once told!
