Sort of agree. The Tumblr fandom (and the Cersei stans therein) have convinced me that if Ramsay were a female sadist who hunts, rapes, and flays men as a pastime, he'd probably be beloved by all over there. And if Theon were female there definitely wouldn't be any jokes on Tumblr about his genital mutilation, "he deserves to get beaten, raped, and flayed", or shipping him with Ramsay. But OTOH, the misogyny on Westeros.org would be off the charts.

This fandom really has a weird dichotomy of being both misogynist and misandrist depending on where you are.

Though apparently I hang out in a pretty cool corner of Tumblr, where characters are liked and disliked on their merits, but even those who are disliked don't receive any victim-blaming bullshit. Like, I do not like Theon. I am not a Theon fan. His arc is only mildly interesting to me. But I pity the hell out of him and would never say he deserved it or wish that shit on him. That's gross. I know he's fictional, but still, I'm not gonna say anybody deserves Ramsay Bolton's, uh, attention.

Then again, I've been doing this fandom thing for a while. I'm pretty selective about what kind of nonsense I put up with. Idk who is right about female!Ramsay fans, but I totally agree that Westeros.org would only find ways to be more disgustingly misogynist.
