English Recipes and Others, published 1967 in Britain. How the fuck it ended up in Australia in pretty good condition, I'm not sure.

But it's some ladies compilation of how to cook FUCKING EVERYTHING including family recipes, recipes lifted from other books (and properly cited!) like 'A New System of Domestic Cookery' by Mrs Rundell 1806

So pretty cool.

Yeah, idk what the hell a grouse is but it tells me when to hunt it, how to hang it, various cooking methods including boiling it's head

A grouse is a type of bird that you're not going to find in Australia XD;; Actually, it's not native to anywhere south of parts of Texas/Louisiana.

It's kind of like a chicken, which it's related too. So...uh...I guess, think 'chicken that you only find in the Northern hemisphere'? If you're interested in silly looking birds, some of the males look *ridiculous*.
