I read the secret and thought that they meant bigotry as in 'racism' because of the interspecies thing, and then I saw all the comments about homophobia and was like 'whut?' I'm with you on that, it doesn't really seem to fit into Star Trek's setting, unless the Enterprise crew were on a primitive planet or were dealing with some sort of anti-technology, return-to-our-roots crazy cult or something.

Also, I absolutely love LotR/Hobbit fics that deal with the cultural/social differences between the different Middle Earth races.

TL;DR - +1 You have summed up everything I wanted to say about this secret. Also you are awesome and have good taste in fic.
