Wut wut? There's massive amount of rape in it. Female City Elf PC, her cousin, The French girl at the stall in the big city, think there were a few wood elves that complained about what the humans had done to them. Lilianna, was raped in her DLC as well.

It was a horrible game from a feminist POV.

I thought it was realistic for the setting and the rape was never fetishisized. It, along with many other things, showed how deplorable the conditions of their world were and that many people with power were corrupted by it and used it to harm and take advantage of innocent people. It wasn't really all that untrue to real life

I felt the same. Like, the bad things that happened to elves truly felt abominable and shameful. People die and it's sad and unfair, but that's life. I also apparently I do not read between the lines so much, because I didn't catch some of those implied rapes (though fair enough, I didn't play Liliana's DLC). Honestly the only one I truly perceived as a (sexual) abuse victim was Fenris.

But yeah, I do not see that portrayal as a "disgusting male power fantasy".

it was definitely implied, but I don't think they ever flat out said she was in the game. one of the guard's comments definitely alludes to it though

if it helps, she then breaks out of prison and is a badass who takes charge of her own life so she wasn't exactly portrayed as a helpless victim

If you're referring to Leliana's Song, and thinking of skipping on that basis alone:

It's one of my favourite DLCs. Possibly my favourite. It's fabulous, and shows a heck of a lot about her as a character - and made me go from like/"meh" to loving her. She's a great, strong (if slightly amoral) protagonist. That and the fact that the rape's never explicitly shown - though you can pretty much deduce it - and I'd recommend seeing it through.

As sad as it is, rape is realistic, especially in a medieval setting, for a darker game. How it is depicted is essential, and I haven't played DA yet (it's in my library waiting its turn), but the inclusion of rape doesn't automatically make it a "male fantasy" or an "un-feminist game"
