IMO. The poster may have been immature in his/her statement, but being annoyed by it like this is just laughable.

It was just a simple sentence. Shrug it off.

I'm not gonna defend myself to you. Everyone has their pet peeves and this is mine. If my comment bugs you so much, ignore it instead of leaving me a condescening anonymous comment. I'm not insulting you personally after all.

*Sigh* Um. I don't want to get into a spat over a stupid secret.

No the OP wasn't addressing me DIRECTLY. But she was insulting me by association, as well as my entire fandom, simply for liking a pairing. It is my pet peeve and I am perfectly allowed to be offended and say so, thank you very much. I'm confronted with this quite a bit and since it's something that affects me directly, of course I will be more passionate about it than someone else would.

Just because it is trivial to you does not mean my feelings on the subject are not valid. And again I don't want to get into a spat, I posted this yesterday and I'm completely over it. I just want to voice my opinions. I'm not forcing people to agree.

Ok, ok, look, maybe I phrased myself poorly when I responded to point one, but when I said, "if you don't like it, ignore it" I was refering to the way I phrased my post, not the content of it, because obviously that's not what I did with secret 30. I addressed it because it annoyed me, I didn't ignore it. I was not referring to ignoring something that offends you.

Ugh, how to put this? I feel like the secret itself was insulting me because it was insulting the fandom, which I am apart of. The anon poster is simply insulting me because she didn't like the way I went about my post, not because of anything I said in it. I would not have a problem if she wanted to tell me "oh, well I disagree about what you said because of this and this." No. She told me "I laugh at you because you're getting worked up", not anything to do with the post or the content.

I realize that I didn't have to make a long post about the secret to begin with. I don't think it's hypocritical in that sense because I did not argue against the poster of 30 simply because she wrote with poor capitalization or because of the form in which she wrote her secret. I argued the content. That's what rubbed me the wrong way with anonymous point one. IF she wants to argue with me about what I said, fine, I accept that, but simply leaving me a comment saying she finds the fact that my post is long and aggressive laughable? A little irking.

PLEASE just drop the subject, I don't want to argue, as I said. If anon poster #1 wants to debate what I SAID she can feel free, but I don't really have time to argue why I felt condescended to for someone (who I can only assume is not a part of the fandom) to tell me my opinion, when voiced a certain way, is "laughable."

Sorry. I know the above comment (to the first anon) is a little rude but I feel like I'm allowed to be passionate about this because it's something that I'm involved in and feel strongly about. I'm sorry if that's laughable to you but it isn't to me, I'm allowed to defend my fandom and myself >_>;
