I think the bench dude is an amateur stripper (look at all that money on the ground) and the angry presidents wanted to see him Magic Mike-in' it and thrusting all up in that park but Obama is a party pooper and said "No, dude, my daughters don't need to see you waggling your junk. Take that shit back to the club or something." That paper he is standing on is a flyer for the local Magic Mike-esque club and Thomas Jefferson or whoever is like "Yo, lift your foot up so I can see what this club is called! I didn't come to 21st century just to not get a lap dance from an attractive man!" The end.

...is it said that actually reminded me of a Connor/Jefferson fic I read a while back?

Connor/Washington or bust

Re: A magnificent work of art

Pfff, pleeease! We *all* know that Connor/Paul Revere is where it's at!

How could you be so wrong, nonny.

We *all* know that Connor/Paul Revere is where it's at!

Only if you want Connor to be even more miserable.

Clearly Connor/Lafayette is superior; it even has cross-dressing!

Re: A magnificent work of art

(Anonymous) 2013-08-23 06:46 am (UTC)(link)
Obvis. you confused pleasure with pain, since we totes know what Revere was *really* referring to when he said 'To the left, Connor!'

...But I might concede on Connor/Sam Adams, with their "secret tunnel" and all~

Oh god, you did not go there. You did not yet you obviously did.

...It isn't my favorite, but I suppose we could do worse.

Hey, not fault riding isn't just for horses~. I'm sorry, I just couldn't help myself.

Same. At least it isn't Nathan/Connor?

Also, would you mind if I friended you? You seem awesome.

[personal profile] elaminator 2013-08-24 12:28 am (UTC)(link)
NO, WHY WOULD YOU SAY THAT?! Okay, I love riding, but not when connected to Paul Revere. (Unless the thing he's riding is horses and not...

okay stopping now.)

I'm not sure who Nathan is actually. Is it the fanon character? (Had to google it.)

Nope, wouldn't mind at all. Hope you still see this! <3

AYRT

HEY, CONNOR AND REVERE CAN RIDE WHENEVER THEY WANT [even if it involves horses...and I think I'll leave that thought there. >>;;]

Pfff, sorry. I was reading something earlier with a character named Nathan - I meant Connor's father. BUT NATHAN HALE WORKS TOO, Y/Y?

Going to go friend you now <3

Because of our unfortunate wording my mind was already there, but not happily anon. Not happily...

Ooo, Haytham! You have no idea how disappointing I found AC3 fandom when I realized it was all Haytham/Connor. I won't judge people for shipping it, but...man, I wanted other things. :(

Kay! Thank you for showing an interest!

I'd offer you a drink to help forget, but somehow I don't think that would cross over the intertubes very well.

Yeah...I was kinda sad when I saw that, particularly because the history nerd in me was all excited for the awesome time period to explore, and even if they wanted to focus on ships the way the protestants handled homosexual relationships [which wasn't *actually* how everyone assumes, oddly enough] would make for some interesting set ups...but no. ;A;

-coughs- Sorry for the ramble. ^^;;

Thank you for letting me!

I don't drink anyway, but I very much appreciate the sentiment!

Can't say I'm a history nerd, but one of my favorite things about AC is running around in the different time periods and meeting all the historical figures. It's a compelling environment!

and even if they wanted to focus on ships the way the protestants handled homosexual relationships [which wasn't *actually* how everyone assumes, oddly enough] would make for some interesting set ups

Hey, I'm sure someone would be interested. If nothing else it sounds like something I would give a shot.

No need to apologize for AC ramble; I don't get to talk about this series nearly enough.

Honestly, the history nerd in me is a large part of why I love series, since they make a huge effort to be historically accurate, outside of a few changes they make for plot reasons.

Well...it basically boils down to 'not practicing what they preached'. They *said* it was immoral, and worthy of the death penalty. However, in practice, they only gave that penalty once [to a man who, iirc, also did a bunch of other nasty things including rape], and generally was considered a part of the ~college experience~. If you were caught, as often as not, you'd be given a similar/the same punishment as a straight couple that was having unmarried sex, and that was only if someone actually pressed charges which was pretty rare. [19 cases in the entirety of Mass.' colonial history.]

tl;dr: They didn't practice what they preached, and tended to consider it part of the college experience for guys, when they bothered to stop ignoring it.

So, given how prominent some of the figures were, it could actually lead to some really interesting situations for various pairings, you know?

Oh, thank goodness! I tend to ramble, and I know that can get annoying. ^^;;

I knew none of this and am intrigued. Are you interested in writing fic dealing with this subject, or you were solely interested in others doing so? Because if you want to write it, you def should. I think there would be an audience.

Sorry for the late reply!

Honestly, I'm about to start a semester with two classes that are going to have a ton of projects, so I doubt I'm going to have the time to write anything until that's over. However, even if I was going to have the time, I wouldn't really mind if others wanted to write it as well, if you were interested. :)

Thomas Jefferson came to the 21st century to get a lap dance from an attractive man and then marry him. That is how the 21st century rolls!

Before this comment, I never thought I'd have a headcanon for a bad painting.
