I should be excited. I like Whedon. I like Marvel. But honestly? I've always found S.H.I.E.L.D. to be one of the least interesting parts of the universe.

I'd kill for a Runaways series with Whedon in charge.

There WAS going to be a Runaways film, but I think it got cancelled, last I heard. SIGH.

I'd love a Runaways series, but I'm less sure about Whedon being in charge. Maybe as show runner, but not writing? I thought his run on the book ended up with the kids sounding very OOC and Whedonesque. (I'm not a person who generally has a problem with Joss's destinctive voice, but I did not feel that he got Runaways.)

+1--Runaways can even be written to be independent of other MCU continuities (the Hayes's can just be superpowered and not specifically mutants, etc.) so it can work on its own or get integrated into the MCU if and when need be.

I'd be behind Whedon directing the thing, but I'd just worry he'd try to incorporate his own story arc into a feature film, and really to go that far into the Runaways timeline would be putting too much into one film.

Ew no. Whedon needs to stay the fuck away from the Runaways.

Agree

But his Runaways run was awful.
