(Inspired on the first confession, obviously)

I judge people who can't read analog clocks.
(Also, when friends ask me the time I show them my clock to check if they can read it or not, instead of just telling them)

Sorry first anon :(

The first one, okay, sure. Everyone has their pet peeves.

The second one though, actively seeking out people who can't do something that you can do, just so you can feel smugly superior? Congratulations. You're an asshole.

I know :D

Geez, that's why it's a confession. Here, have another pet peeve: People who read confession/secrets entries and bitch at people about what they said.

da

Confessing to something on a confessions thread does not grant you immunity to people's judgements about said confession, especially when your confession has to do with your actions toward other people. We judge in hopes that you gain a different perspective and perhaps curtail your harshness toward others for things they likely have no control over.

If you're not willing to receive criticism for your actions, then it's best that you not reveal them in the first place.

I do hope you realize that some people have trouble with analog clocks because of actual disorders, not just because they were too lazy to learn. Hell, I learned how to read an analog clock before some of my friends, but at this point, it still takes me a few seconds to read it just because digital clocks are everywhere. And don't get me started on the ones without numbers or even marks - I want to punch people who think everyone can read those with no problem.

So. You're kind of a dick.

I love how angry people get at things like this. "Omg what if they have an actual disorder?" Well, then I of course won't judge them.
But really, the number of people who have weird spatial/processing disorders is nothing next to the number of people who are lazy and rather have a cellphone tell them the info because it's easier.

Besides, I also find amusing that judging people is such a big deal. You see, I silently judge my friends, or may tease them lightly about the watch thing, but nothing else. It's not that I'm irrationally mad at them or something.
For what it's worth I have to check my hands to tell right from left, and I have depth perception issues due to amblyopia and I have no problem with friends lightly teasing me about taking too long to cross the street or things like that.

See, this is a good point! I think analog clocks are kind of starting to go the way of the typewriter, and there isn't really anything wrong with that. It's just how technology works.

Yeah but most of the people who have trouble with analog clocks do not have a disorder. They just never learned. Call it lazy, call it a silly thing for OP to hold over them, but assuming 'disorder' is just kinda snowflaky.

This was me, right up until the point I hit my twenties. And you know what? The only way to learn to read an analog clock, is to do it over and over and over again, until it becomes second nature. *shrug* That's what I did.

it's nice that your confession is basically "I'm an asshole"
