(Anonymous) 2013-09-06 11:16 pm (UTC)(link)Well, I don't think much of the opinions of people who dismiss all YA novels ever as badly-written or childish, either, so if that's what you're saying, fine.
If on the other hand you're saying that no one can ever think any YA novel is badly-written or childish if they like this series, then naaahhhhh. I'm sure there's worse. I don't know what it is off the top of my head, but I am confident it exists. Maybe some of those unspeakable 'for kids' media tie-in novels.

(Anonymous) 2013-09-07 03:19 am (UTC)(link)I didn't get through the first book of that series before my brain was like "Yeah, no, just stop". I mean, it really stuck to its teen cliches hard.

If you like this series, but bag out other Young Adult novels for being badly-written or childish, I judge the hell out of you.
I judge you twice as hard if you bag out the fans of other Young Adult novels.

(Anonymous) 2013-09-07 03:49 am (UTC)(link)Dammit. I love him, at least from Misfits... now I'm actually tempted to see this film... but I have no interest in the plot. I've tried reading it, and I watched the trailer, and it just fell flat.
