I feel the same way. :/ I'm aspiring to be a Pastry chef and own my own Bakery which is tons of work in itself. I've actually thought about quitting fandom just so I won't fail myself and my girl.

3. I always think it's... weird when I overhear other people talking about it in public, if only because it happens so much less than it does online. But I don't get what's wrong with it?

10. MASCULINITY IS OVERRATED ANYWAY. :)

Nah. The comic has a pretty big fanbase on Deviantart. It's infinitely more likely that it's actually a person who read it than the author herself.

Hm, I always thought Wanda and Arnold had the best chemistry...(pun not intended...)
Man, that secret made me all nostalgic now...

Sorry, but I was into DN before his name was released as Light. And, I stopped reading it before that happened. So when I say Raito, it's out of habit. I know there are many others like this as well...

Re: 1

[identity profile] cephiedvariable.livejournal.com 2007-10-11 02:11 am (UTC)(link)
*raises hand* I'm not even a big Death Note fan. Or, uh, a weeaboo in any sense of the word. It's just that I read at least 50% of the manga with him called 'Raito' and everyone I talk to about DN calls him 'Raito', so I honestly have to think for a good few seconds to remember that his name is actually 'Light'. No matter what, it's never going to sound right to me. :P

I'm not really into the KH fandom, but I do ship Demyx/Zexion.

Why?

I'm in an RP as Zack, who's completely smitten with our Zexion there, and Zack's seiyuu (Suzumura Kenichi) also does the voice for Demyx. That makes it okay in my book :3 And it's a lot easier to find Demyx/Zexion art than Zack/Zexion.

I LOVE seeing "kiddie" fandoms here...it makes me feel like less of a loser for being obsessed with stuff like Arthur and the Muppets.

Giygas hands down is the scariest best memorable final battle in video games. Like, ever. Hell, I was even spoiled before I got to the final battle (%^$#%$$ INTERNET), but even fooling around for several minutes got my hairs on end and chilled me to the very core. DDDD:

...I want a Giygas icon now.

12. OMG FACTS OF LIFE SECRET. YOU WIN SO MUCH.
16. They're hot. That's enough for some people? :|
19. HAHA WILSON LOOKS SO PEDO RIGHT THERE HAHAHAAH.

31. Oh yes, cute boys with hot body in black gakuran, oh my goodness.
25. I know you feel ;___;
1. why does it even matter? his name is in Kanji, so I guess 'Raito' is not entirely weeabo or something.

3. Also, that's the most idiotic thing I've heard in a long time. I wanted to punch people whenever I heard them ranting about the newest episode of the OC (back when that was HOT STUFF). I REALLY want to punch people when they feel the need to spend several hours ranting about their boyfriends who, uh, treat them perfectly well what the fuck? But everyone has a right to talk about their respective interests.

I mean, what? Are you just really self conscious about your "socially inferior" hobbies? Are you projecting intense embarrassment on those who talk about it in public? "Oh no! Geeky talking is happening in my vicinity! Someone might figure out I'm uncool!"

... unless you're talking about the people who won't shut up about it and talk about something else. Because I've had friends like that too. :P

[identity profile] theorygirl.livejournal.com 2007-10-11 03:04 am (UTC)(link)
3. I'm assuming that the OP is referring to the people who only know a little bit (i.e. "Hey, I just started watching this cool show, Naroodoh or something."). But still, ignorance is not a good reason to hit people.

17. What anime is that?

32. Magic School Bus secret?! Oh man, when the show was actually on, my sisters and I plotted a fanfic about how Carlos tried to woo all the girls, with Ralphie as his cohort. My older sister also drew a pic (which she still has) of the guys thinking of their loves (as we saw it, anyway). Arnold was thinking of Phoebe, Carlos was thinking of Dorothy Ann, that other guy (you know, the one who could draw) was thinking of Keisha, and Ralphie was thinking of a cupcake.

32 OP

(Anonymous) 2007-10-11 03:56 am (UTC)(link)
....I so want to see that pic, omg.

[identity profile] akatokuro.livejournal.com 2007-10-11 03:42 am (UTC)(link)
20. Yay, Higurashi! ♥♥♥

34. YAY, EARTHBOUND. I love that battle too. I'm not sure I've ever seen a final battle that tops it for me since then, and it was my first RPG.

LOLZ GAIFAG!!1!

...Naw, I kid! Gaia is fun, and people take the internet too seriously. It's just another site to waste time on, so I don't get why people get so bent out of shape. I personally think you're awesome for liking something that it seems trendy to hate. :P

I know how you feel! Like trying to convince people that something titled Princess Tutu is kick ass, rly, isn't hard enough already.

Oh, and 25/26- I think these might be a sign telling me to stop reading [livejournal.com profile] fandomsecrets and do my damn homework.

[identity profile] zoom-gas.livejournal.com 2007-10-11 04:43 am (UTC)(link)
30. wait what people actually do that?
32. I THINK I KNOW WHO YOU ARE but i forgot D:

#19) H/W FTW!

[identity profile] bluucircles.livejournal.com 2007-10-11 05:30 am (UTC)(link)
I remember I was really skeptical about watching Tutu. The only reason I did was because someone made an AMV for it that won best in show, so I had to see what the big deal was. But I ended up loving it so much despite what I thought was going to be an incredibly cliche and overly girly anime. I guess it's just hard for a guy to get into something like that if they don't have an open mind. Though I do know a guy who watched it, I can't imagine it'd be at the top of any of their lists. It's unfortunate, but that's life.

tl;dr Princess Tutu <3333
