What do you do to de-stress?
(Anonymous) 2013-10-05 09:07 pm (UTC)(link)But growing up the way I did, I have no idea how to deal with it other than ignoring it and hoping it goes away. So what are some things you guys do to de-stress?

If you spend a lot of time sitting at home (gaming, computer, TV, whatever), also a good place for it.

Try to deepen your breathing as you watch, moving your diaphragm instead of your chest (if you rest a book on your stomach its easy to tell if you are moving it or not).
I'd recommend running/exercise in the morning-early afternoon and doing some breathing relaxation exercises before bed. Also, I don't like baths but a lot of people do and they could help with your neck, and also the smell of lavender is calming. So those are ideas to look into as well. Good luck!

Afterwards, reading, writing, and laughing at articles on Twitchy are my drugs of choice. :)
