Someone not enjoying your OOC bullshit doesn't make them homophobic.

Have you tried REAL gay couples? Or femmeslash? Even if they're not into any of these things, their preferences do not define their character.

Okay. So I used the wrong pic. I only used it because that was the last movie we saw together. The ship pictured (which I don't ship) actually has nothing to do with my suspicions. My suspicions have everything to do with conversations we've had about real world issues.

So. No. Someone not enjoying "OOC bullshit" doesn't make someone homophobic but thanks for jumping to conclusions and disregarding something that I'm actually worried about.

It happens. People on FS come in 2 flavors: super kind and jump all over your back assholey. I get what you mean, OP. There's a way people say things that mean more than they're saying. That being said, though, "traditional" may mean something different for her than it does for you. I consider myself traditional in that I, a female, would like one day to settle down with one woman, get married, and have children. So I'd say I'm both traditional and very much not homophobic. :)

I'm not sure why your friend has to share your exact views regarding homosexuality. And frankly, I'm not sure why her (currently unknown) opinions are your business.

Regardless, getting on your high horse and being a moralizing, judgmental dick isn't going to make her want to see things your way, much less change herself to make you happy. (And frankly, she shouldn't have to.) Leave her alone, don't bug her about her opinions, and in a few years, when she's had more experiences, met more people, and had time to re-evaluate her opinions, you might be pleasantly surprised.

...This is assuming that she hasn't quietly drifted away from you and your desire to control her thoughts and opinions.

Yes, what business is it of theirs if their friend is a homophobe? Let's leave the homophobes alone and hope that time will change their opinions. After all, having a right to have an opinion means you should never be confronted about it, or even forced to deal with someone with different opinons.

I think in a situation where the friend isn't confirmed to be a homophobe and hasn't said anything actually homophobic, and OP is fretting about the mere possibility of it.....then yes, minding your own biz rather than turning to immediate accusations is a rational thing to do.
