31. Thank-you for writing this. I have trouble when people that aren't into manga don't get that some series can really make me change my outlook on life and help me improve myself as a person. I get laughed at a lot for saying it, especially around relatives. I wish they'd have an open mind about this kind of stuff. If books can change people's lives, why not manga/anime/games/etc?

It's really irritating when people can't understand the impact that a fictional series (especially anime and manga, because of the stereotypes non-fans tend to have) can make on a person. Fiction exists to teach us something with a story and a set of characters--to not let fiction affect you in some way is to ignore the entire point of telling a story.

I'm glad other people are almost entirely attracted to 2D characters, too. I like the occasional seiyuu or whatever, but for the most part... anime guys all the way!

Haha, I don't know about this, but lots of people who belong to fandom might name their children after their favourite characters and whatnot. So we'll have a whole generation of children called Nia or Rikku or Sora.

Maybe an "L" here or there.
