(Anonymous) 2013-10-24 11:33 pm (UTC)(link)It took me twenty years of my life to find my best friend, and I didn't even know it at the time. It took another seven for me to realize it. And then, we found a third a few years later.
I just hope our health holds out enough for us to be as playful as these two when we reach those ages, considering what we've been going through these past few years.
Well
(Anonymous) 2013-10-24 11:41 pm (UTC)(link)How old were they when they met?
36/37 and 37/38, as far as I can tell.

Anyway this brings me back to my point - My grandfather met his platonic soulmate (and pretty much first friend) at the ripe old age of 56. So you never know OP!

(Anonymous) 2013-10-25 05:56 pm (UTC)(link)I am one degree of separation from both, I know people who know them, and have met them both through friends but definitely wouldn't say I know them, anyhow my point is that both have their own social circles, they are friends but not BFFs, as far as I know.
So I don't think you need to feel like they have a special friendship that you can't have.
