(Also a tag for underage/underage would be nice too. :/)

Underage-Child or Underage-Prepubescent?

Um, I don't think that would work.

I would bet there would be wails of "Yes, technically that is exactly what it is but... kink-shaming!"

So yeah. Maybe some minor grey areas regarding ephebophilia, but the pedophilia is still dead out.

(Anonymous) 2013-10-25 11:22 pm (UTC)(link)You make your own tags on AO3, so just type it in?

(Anonymous) 2013-10-26 12:18 am (UTC)(link)But changing the current warnings is a slippery slope so it isn't going to happen. It's up to the authors to tag their works, not AO3 to police them. That's why AO3 always has and still encourages people to tag their works with all applicable tags about characters, relationships, and content. If they don't, readers are limited to finding or filtering out the content they do or do not want to view.

(Anonymous) 2013-10-26 01:32 am (UTC)(link)I mentioned waaaay downthread that one of the dinosaurs of internet erotica, the Kristen Archive, used to combine its gender-pairing tags with capitalization to indicate which parties were underage--for example, F/F would be two adult women, f/f would be two underage girls, and F/f would be one adult woman and one underage. This combined with their tags for "ped" and "extreme ped" to give you a very good idea within the first five seconds of what the ages, genders, and power dynamics involved would be. Unfortunately, AO3's (gen/het/slash/multi) indicator system doesn't mesh well with that, although I suppose people could just start tagging with the content I guess.
