I'm not sure why anyone would judge you in this situation. It's not like you have the OPTION of buying that stuff legally anyway. I'll save my semi-serious disregard and judgement for people who pirate when they could legally purchase stuff.

Technically, anyone who has extra money to spend can legally purchase stuff (on the Internet)...if they can ignore the shipping taxes.

I feel like a broken record bringing this up, but many years ago I really wanted to buy Rayearth season 2 because I love(d) it to bits and wanted to give the creators something back.

The DVD was 25$. Shipping taxes? 120$

Aaaaaaaand that should teach me to be a helpful buyer. Probably forever. Yep.

P.S: TL;DR even if you can legally purchase things, it doesn't mean that you can actually buy it without being driven into the ground.

Technically, anyone who has extra money and LIVES IN THE RIGHT REGION can legally purchase stuff on the internet. If DVDs and blu-rays weren't region-locked, I'd agree with you. But the vast majority of them are, and if you can't afford a region-free DVD player (as far as I know, there's no such thing as a region-free blu-ray player), you're shit out of luck.

I live in Europe, Romania. Amazon doesn't even ship here.

I just watch my dvd on the computer. I have no idea if anything works on my dvd player.

So basically I'm good anyway? (unless they region-lock them for computers too. ^^)
