I refuse to believe that you're serious and this isn't just a troll secret. Mostly because your casual sexism at the end and there's no way you did that in this community without knowing you'd get called on it. Can you make a positive secret too then? Because people are actually agreeing with you and that's sad.

But to anyone who thinks similarly: money, time, anxiety, visual problems, etc. All these things might make it impossible to play a game.

Here's the deal though that I want to stress, however the fuck someone else enjoys a game is none of your business. It doesn't hurt you if they only watch let's plays. It doesn't hurt you if, for example, I spend all my time in Mass Effect 2 dicking around with probes or reloading the game over and over to get something exactly right. It doesn't hurt you if someone spends their entire time playing Zelda just smashing jars. (Which, let me tell you, I know this person and they have such a shitton of fun cutting all the grass. They would never move forward in the game if they had a choice.) But here's the point. Someone who isn't you found something that they enjoy and makes them happy. It doesn't cause any harm to anyone. But! You want to ruin their fun because they aren't doing it "right".

That's bullshit.

You're like the kid on the playground when we would all play make-believe who would get mad and throw a fit because we didn't play exactly to your rules.

Grow up.

This, fucking all of this.

Unfortunately gaming is filled with judgmental assholes who put you down if you don't game the way they do. Or don't like the retcon, the novel tie-ins, the MMO spin off, like they do. The list is fucking endless.

Yeah, gaming seems to be a magnet for them but these kinds of people are everywhere, sadly.

I'm also a 'has a whale of a time cutting the grass whilst playing Zelda' person. Oh sure, the actual temples and dungeons and puzzles are great, but there's nothing like cutting grass.

I do not understand it but if you love it, go for it. ;)

idk about the grass but you do have to admit the jar room in OoT's Castle Town is amazing.

...I was taking my friend who does this through Skyward Sword. Ocarina of Time must be next if only for that room.

Yes do it

I have a friend who I'm currently taking through Twilight Princess, and she'll always go cut all the grass and I'll be like "dang girl go to the dungeon!" haha.

Ah, I'm the same. Whoever gets their friend through their game first and into the room wins the race.

I really enjoy the planet-scanning/probe-mining in ME2! I can never end go for the IFF until I've scanned every single planet :D

Mine was less about liking it and more about the compulsion of having to do it because it's there. @_@ I didn't mind it either way though.

Oh god, your comment reminds me of why I had to quit playing SWTOR -- OCD. I had to try to find all of the.... Damn, can't remember the name. Cube/jewel thingies that would give a stat bonus once you'd collected all of them. Well, finding them wasn't so bad, but sometimes getting to them can be a horrid pain in the ass if you're someone who isn't the best at certain game mechanics.

Cutting the grass sounds like awesome fun in comparison, lol.

Ah, yeah, I'm glad that probing isn't hard. It's just time consuming. I didn't hate it either. It was just kinda something I did. I'm a completionist so I just like to make sure I've done everything. Ah, but your tale sounds a bit painful. D:

This reminds me of the first Spyro game. There's one dragon I could never release because I couldn't figure out how in the world I was supposed to reach him without flight. So frustrating.

I found that very relaxing. I would sit down to play after a long day and just scan planets for like and hour and a half, haha.
