nayrt, but fwiw, I think you were clear and generally agree, even though I'm probably about 50-50 between playing and LP-ing a game. Though the difference between a playthrough and LP for me, besides availability (cost/game age/language barrier, etc.), is mostly whether it's actually fun to play vs. whether the story is engaging, and if the LPer is incisive or funny. Sometimes gameplay is bad or frustrating enough to break immersion on its own. And sometimes, it's fun to watch an LP after playing a game I found terrible for some commiseration.
