I'm kind of horrified at all the people who say murderous intent towards anyone is okay or normal or healthy.

And before anyone jumps in to say I've had an easy life, nope. I've been bullied and abused and belittled. I've had people that I felt hatred or intense anger towards, but I have never once had murderous intent towards another living being.

Not everybody copes with trauma the same way that you do. That doesn't make them abnormal or unhealthy. hth.

Is it normally meant in a sarcastic way or genuine? Because I've seen it around a lot and now that I know what it means it just seems not to fit.

DA but I think it's used sarcastically like 80% of the time.

Also I always think of it as "happy to help". Same meaning ultimately, though.

I spent most of middle school never, ever saying that I wanted to hurt anyone else or myself. I wanted them to go away. I wanted to be somewhere else. Those were safe things to want, because good people don't hate and don't want to hurt anyone.

It was only after they started treating my depression that the actual self-destructive impulses crawled out of the hole they were stuffed into.

And it took terrifying myself by thinking "Sure, I can understand why someone might want to shoot all their classmates" before I really started to deal with being bullied nonstop for two years.

I don't think it's healthy to spend hours lovingly envisioning the tortured screams of your enemies, but if you hate someone that much, it's better to admit it and try to figure out where it comes from than pretend there's nothing there.
