Correct me if I'm wrong (I only watched a few episodes, years ago), but wasn't Little Britain supposed to be so-awful-it's-funny? R-rated Monty Python or something like that?

They only managed the awful part then. It was not a patch on the old Python blokes. Maybe they should have stopped trying to ape humor from the 70s and ignoring that it was the 2000's, and developed something new instead. Not even the Pythons were as good as the Pythons a lot of the time, which people seem to forget.
