which is why I'd also recommend reading the last ten or so chapters of the manga after you finish the anime

That's just going to confuse OP because the manga is far, far beyond where the anime stopped. Talk about huge spoilers...

Holy crap, I didn't realize the manga had made it all the way to chapter 51! For reference to anyone who cares, the anime left off on chapter 34 (so 17 chapters behind instead of 10, as of right now). If you read 34 to 44, though, you'll get most of the "common" spoilers that happen after the anime.

And that's why I recommended they read it, actually--I know from experience that it's really easy to stumble across those spoilers in fanfiction, so they'll probably be spoiled one way or another. Times like this, I wish fandom labels made a distinction between manga and anime like they do with comics and comics-based movies.
