Frozen talk isn't going to go away for awhile. Tumblr loves the 'Disney is always racist' train, and it's a fresh excuse to wax endless about the evils of animation.

Plus by all acounts it's a good movie so there's plenty of people to argue back.

Eh, I've seen more people arguing against in on tumblr. And most of the people who argue for it get shouted down as evil white racist Disney fans.

There's a decent sized fandom for it, I think. I personally loved it and I've seen a good deal of fanart/fanwork related to it. Mostly because I just check the tags, and people are (thankfully) not tagging their hate.

Tumblr is a cesspool of hatemongering, hipster bullcrap and self-promotion. They don't like anything.

Tumblr has issues with animation now?

(Anonymous) 2013-12-15 01:42 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, two main female characters weren't enough to people from complaining.

They moved on to minor clipping issues that exist in every CGI movie because they ran out of other topics to discuss.

(Anonymous) 2013-12-15 01:52 am (UTC)(link)
So it's not animation itself, it's specific issues with bad animation?

Because if tumblr was going to get into how only cartoons are only for kids, I'd have to quit it.

They moved on to minor clipping issues that exist in every CGI movie

And yet I haven't seen anyone point out any CURRENT CGI/digital animation movie that as that kind of basic mistakes.

I know I saw at least one post pointing out an error from Wreck-it Ralph, which was last year but still fairly current and which was quite positively received from what I can tell.

What doesn't Tumblr have issues with?
