Depends?

Are we talking historical St. Nicholas "Santa"? Because he should look like he's from Turkey, so maybe not black, but definitely Middle Eastern/not European.

As for other variations, I don't see why not? Especially when it's something like the Santa Clause movie where whoever kills Santa has to take his place.

I always assumed the real "Santa" would hate his fictional counterpart, since he was really into Jesus and whatnot.

Honestly, all I know about the real St. Nicholas comes from a fictional book about how he became Santa, so I don't know for sure. Maybe, though?

Apparently he and other religious leaders were having a discussion about whether Jesus was divine or not, and he slapped a guy who would not accept that he was.

I knew he had signed the Nicene creed, and he was anti-Arian, but I didn't know about the slapping thing. Interesting!
