I don't get the hate, either. And it's so *painfully obvious* that Ichabod and Katrina are still very much in love. He would never betray her.

I think Ichabod/Abbie as friends is awesome.

I find it hilarious, though, that people in comments are whining about how 'everybody just likes Abbie 'cause she's black'. Yeah, sure, whatever.

Got nothing to do with an excellent actress in an interesting role who plays her part very well, with a great supporting cast around her. (Yes, i think the show's awesome, so sue me.)

Ugh, yes, thank you.

Seriously, she's why I watch the show. She can create chemistry with inanimate objects. She's amazingly talented and clearly having a lot of fun on this show. She lends just that little bit of believability needed to make sense of a totally nonsensical show, and I adore her. I am sure it is a perk to some people that she is a WOC doing all these things, because so many of the things Abbie gets to do are non-stereotypical, and that's super refreshing, too. But nobody's here for that reason only.

YES. I've watched a few interviews and she just seems like a fun, intelligent person, and she and her co-star obviously adore each other.

There are people who explicitly say they like Abbie because she is a WOC on a mainstream show. There are also people who ship Ichabod/Abbie simply because it's an interracial couple. It's not clutching at straws. There are definitely people who think that way.
