I hate his eyebrows so much. He was great as Thranduil, but those damn eyebrows almost ruined it for me.

I have a weird thing for dark, thick eyebrows, and Lee Pace eyebrows are some of my faves. I think eyebrows like his are super super attractive. On men AND women. And I have no idea why.

I hate his eyebrows. Or rather, I hate his eyebrows next to the sleek white-blonde hair. They are a beautiful thing in Lee Pace's natural state, but not here.

Yeah there was a lot of filler, but it was an enjoyable 2 and a half hours.

Was she actually any good? I use to really dislike Kate from Lost so it's been hard for me to see her as anyone but Kate from Lost in cosplay, and I'm afraid that's going to ruin an awesome character. :(

I want to see this movie for all the reasons but it's probably gonna be a while...

Anyway, I'm mostly looking forward to the Smaug and Bilbo scenes, but it'll awake my inner teenager to see Legolas onscreen again. (And Tauriel is super hot, yo.)

Discounting dinner...shut up, it was a first (proper) date. I will say right now that it awesome. (Disclaimer: never read the books).

Also, Peter Jackson is evil. *dear god of all the places to end it*

But still awesome! :D

I can't recall exactly where it started...a tumblr text post I think, someone talking about coming back from the Hobbit flailing about how Thranduil was a fabulous guy, and Legolas growing up with his 'dwarf racist party dad'...I think the original thought was 'member of the 'dwarf racist' party' but someone picked it up as 'a elf king, racist against dwarves, who loves to party' which, yeah, they do love their wine. Then fanart started and now it's a whole thing, lol!
