Yeah, but what if you like MARY, specifically? Female characters aren't interchangeable.

Plus, they're not strictly following canon for other timeline stuff, so there's no reason to think they'll be strict about this either.

I feel the same, I loved Mary in the movie!

I wish people were more sensible about their shipping. Some people went "Well, I don't want to demonize Mary, but I want Holmes and Watson in each others' pants...I know! Threesome!" which seemed very reasonable to me lol.

Yeah. Threesomes don't solve everything all the time, but I love that this threesome is popular :)

I honestly really wonder why "Hey, I just found out my fiance who died isn't actually dead! Sorry John, but I love him more than you. Don't worry, Holmes will take care of you." isn't wildly popular in Ritchie-verse slash. It seems like a really excellent solution for everyone that doesn't demonize anyone, kill anyone, or break anyone's heart, but I've never seen it before.

I haven't seen the second film yet (didn't particularly like the first one) but I still hope they don't kill Mary. Seeing as John had multiple wives though, I bet it'll happen. It's easy drama. (It'll probably happen in Sherlock as well, which, urg...)

Yup. Why the :( ? You don't need to watch it if you don't want to, and it's not like it'll invade all corners of fandom the way BBC Sherlock does. IMO, for people who do like the movieverse, it'll be fun to see how they conclude the loose ends (*cough* needsmoreMoran *cough*) from the 2nd movie. At the very least, I'll get to look at Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law for two hours ;)
