Secret Santa: I LOVE YOU. Team bonding fics are my fave, and I love how everything went down. You fit in Kate and a hint of Clint/Kate in there too, which officially makes you amazing. <3 This made me really happy, so thank you so so so much!

I'm so glad the fic made you happy! Kate is a character I was not familiar with at all so I'm really pleased it worked out in the end. Likewise, I want to make it comic!verse only but it was much easier to find references for MCU!Avengers. I hope you didn't mind that it became general-ish Avengers + Kate.

Oh, I loved the movieverse Avengers + Kate! I'm a very sporadic comics reader, and Hawkeye is the one comic I generally read most, so that's actually really good for me. I love the movieverse and I'm always happy to read about that team. :)

Ack. Hawkeye is the one comic I've never read. I've been to several library branches the past year - our comics are labled CHILDREN'S COMICS or TEEN GRAPHICS in the library catalogue so I've had to leg it to the branches physically to find issues I missed - and saw everything from 90s reprint of The Adventures of Spider-Man and Uncanny X-Men to the new mini-run of ULTRON. Except Hawkeye, of course. (Which is really awkward because Hawkeye scans were what I was looking for when our internet went down.) I'm really glad things worked out.

What an amazing gift! I am so thrilled that you wrote me a story about Dudley Dursley (and I also really enjoyed the author's notes you included at the end; I love reading about people's writing processes and how stories evolve as they're written). I'm stoked that you went to my journal to see what sort of stories I like and especially stoked that you chose to write about Dudley. I think your story hits just the right note of awkwardness and hope between Dudley and Harry and that you've created a Dudley who has changed but not in an unbelievable or saccharine way. The parts with the cupboard under the stairs that isn't were very powerfully written. I got shivers reading that part. <3

I'm SO GLAD that you liked the fic! <3 And that you didn't mind my rambling author's notes; I felt so guilty about not doing a proper 'Harry and Dudley talk it out' scene that I felt like I had to explain why it wasn't there.

You actually linked ME to your Dudley Redeemed rec list when I asked for HP recs a couple of months ago, which is why it immediately caught my attention. After that I just really had to write a DR fic as well. Though I feel like it's not as much as a redemption fic for Dudley as it would have been had it been from Elaine's POV, but as I said, I kind of hit a wall with that one. (I have four pages of that one written, if you're curious what the fic could have been like.)

Oh, no guilt necessary at all. I love the POV you chose; I think it worked very well for the story. I always like getting Harry's take on what's different about Dudley and how that change makes him feel.

I'm so glad you liked it! It was surprisingly easier to work in the tentacles than I expected, once I had the basic idea in my head. It was a whole lot of fun to write, and now I'm sort of bouncing and squeeing that you enjoyed it so much. ^_^

I am so tempted to keysmash right now. You linked me your Steve/Tony A/B/O fic (er, two weeks ago?) and I still need to tell you how much I enjoyed the concept and its execution. It takes me too long to write serious replies. This is partly why I've been kinda MIA on F!S lately.

Tentacles was a throwaway line I added at the very end, literally just before I hit the post button. I requested a lot of older fandoms that I didn't expect to be filled, so I added it as a kind of a last resort. I never expected how much big of a part it played in the story.

"Master Anik's Famous Calamari Recipe" is something I wish with all my ungodly heart is real on this plane of existance. At least there's barbecued squid to quench my cravings somewhat. ;)
