Agreed with most of this. (Although she seems happy enough to save the studio before that began to interfere with the extant promise.)

You know who WAS selfish over the whole thing? Miss Piggy. She initially refused to help just because Kermit didn't frame it as part of their romantic relationship (not because of the life she'd built, to respond to an older secret, but because Kermit asked her to help the group, not him), then when she does help (I wasn't clear why), she spends the whole time being passive-aggressive at him, until he relents and rekindles their relationship. Christ, Piggy, do it or don't, but if you're gonna, don't be a jackass about it.

Oh yeah, she was totally willing to help! She just wanted to do a little bit of sightseeing too, and have that one dinner, and honestly? I don't really blame her, especially since her deal wasn't "I only want to sight see instead of saving the studio" but was rather "can't we do a little of sight seeing and have dinner together on our anniversary and I'll help with the studio?"

...Yeah I have to agree. I mean, it was kind of in character for her, (at least, I feel like it was a little), but t was super annoying, to me. Especially when you look at the Word of God reasoning for why Kermit was so freaked out in the first place. (Apparently in "Muppets Take Manhatten", Piggy tricked Kermit into really marrying her by getting a real priest to reside over their theatrical marriage, IDK, but that's just kind of skeevy to me.)

(I think she helps because she wants to help the other muppets; even when she's mad at Kermit, she's not at the others.)

Yeah. I mean, she didn't handle it the best when he said 'ok, go sight see, I'll catch up' - tell him that, and why, you're ticked off, don't go through a thesaurus listing synonyms for alone (although that was funny)! - but the actual reason she was upset was perfectly reasonable, I thought.

Yeah, that's been the gag for a while, and it makes me like Piggy a bit less - especially since she apparently considers it binding even after Kermit objected.
