I was typing this edit when you replied: Anyway, sorry, I'm kind of rambling right now, but what I'm trying to say is it's not your responsibility to make all of your coworkers and friends-of-friends see the light. Just be yourself, stick to your values, and try to make as much of a good impression as you can.
When I say "don't associate with them" I mean "don't invite them out to pizza after work". You don't owe them anything! :)
