He seemed fine to me. Typical fantasy dragon except ginormous, and I admit I was slightly disappointed by that since a part of me wanted a more radical design. But I knew I shouldn't have been expecting any Skyrim shit here, since it's Tolkien and all. (Though some sources say Tolkien-esque dragons shouldn't be limbless, like giant serpents with wings, though I imagine that'd be awkward on screen.)

Yeah, dragon design was one area where Skyrim really excelled. Their bodies just worked beautifully and I loved the way they moved on the ground with their wings as forearms.

Ditto on the Tolkien-dragons-are-worms thing though. His dragons are constantly referred to as 'worms' and in my mind have always looked more similar to traditional Asian designs with long thin bodies.

Personally "Wyrm" does not evoke an Asian dragon to me. It's a very European word, and based on the fact that "serpent" (which is what "wyrm" means) and "dragon" are often interchangeable in texts like the Bible and on legends (where dragons are cast as evil), seeing "wyrm" defaults to a traditional European-style quadrupedal dragon.
